Mike Friedman

“Mikey” / Creator / Producer / Writer

was born and raised in Philadelphia. He got his first taste of performing while writing sketches in grade school and performed stand-up for the first time in high school. He moved to New York where he attended Fordham University in the Bronx. This is where he began his theatre training. He taught classical Latin in Philly and Queens for a few years while performing at The Actor’s Studio in Manhattan. He graduated from The New York Neighborhood Playhouse while performing stand-up regularly at Stand-Up New York and The Comic Strip Live. He recently moved to LA where he wrote “The Super Man” which was an official selection at the 2008 ITV Festival and is based on his real life job as a Super. He has appeared in many national commercials including KFC, Harley Davidson, Subway and Budweiser and has been the voice for many products, notably Kawasaki and Nicorette. Most recently he can be seen on “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” and “The Unit.” Mike is currently partnered with Aaron Kaplan and John Fitzpatrick at Kapital Entertainment, Executive Producers of Fox’s new show, Terra Nova, pitching his passion project to TV broadcast and cable networks.

John MacDonald

Executive Producer

John MacDonald after graduating from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors in Business Administration began his career in the entertainment industry in 1986 at Cellar Door Concerts of Florida, rising to the position of President-FL in 1996. While at Cellar Door MacDonald promoted and produced major live performances with some of the top names in the concert business including Dave Matthews Band, Elton John, Pearl Jam, Celine Dion. In 1994 MacDonald became the exclusive National Promoter for comedian Jeff Foxworthy. In 1999 MacDonald launched Four Points Entertainment, a booking agency specializing in the careers of comedic talent. Among his creative endeavors, MacDonald was involved in the development and promotion of the popular “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” which toured the country from 2000 through 2003. The tour played in over 90 cities and grossed over 15 million dollars. This successful comedy show was made into a motion picture for Warner Brothers and released in 2003. Later that year, MacDonald joined Parallel Management Company, a personal management company located in Los Angeles, as Partner. During his tenure there MacDonald produced comedian Ron White’s initial comedy CD “Drunk in Public” which has since been certified Gold. He also served as Executive Producer for White’s Comedy Central Specials “Tater Salad” and “You Can’t Fix Stupid” which together have sold over 2,000,000 copies as a DVD. In the fall of 2005 MacDonald and Alex Murray left Parallel to form their own personal management company MacDonald-Murray Management located in Los Angeles.

Gregory Konow

“Joey” / Writer

is a native New Yorker raised in the Philadelphia area. He returned to New York twelve years ago where he graduated from the Neighborhood Playhouse. He currently resides in Hell’s Kitchen as a building superintendent, giving him the freedom to pursue the “theatre side” of his acting career. Some of his favorite roles have been: Winston Smith in “1984”, Montag in “Fahrenheit 451”, Mr. Deltoid in “A Clockwork Orange”, Kevin in “Savior”, Orestes in “Electra”, Senator Iselin in “The Manchurian Candidate”, Billy Pilgrim in “Slaughterhouse Five” and Rollo Martins in “The Third Man”. Recent film credits include “Last Call” from The Sullivan Project and “How I Got Lost” from Blatantly Subtle Productions.

Brendan Connor

“Gary” / Writer

In addition to being Mikey’s real life roommate for one brutal year, Brendan is best known for his role as Paramedic Reidy on ER. Additional television credits include Desperate Housewives, Two and a Half Men, Ugly Betty and Sex in the City. His feature credits include Spider-Man 2, Miss Congeniality 2, A Lot Like Love, and The Believer. He has many stage credits both in New York and Los Angeles.

Bryan Beasley

Director, Season 2

Bryan Beasley is a native Oklahoman who studied film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After graduation he made the move to LA and has had the good fortune to work in Film (Martin Scorsese’s “Goat on Fire and Smiling Fish”), Television (the upcoming “Outsourced”) and Theater (Off-Broadway’s “HurlyBurly” and LA’s “Barefoot in the Park”). Last year it was the documentary and festival favorite “Unconquered” narrated by Val Kilmer. “The SuperMan” is Bryan’s first venture into webseries and considers it one of his finest projects to date.

Ashley Kilfoy

Set Designer / Producer

Ashley Kilfoy works professionally as a Set Decorator and Prop Buyer in commercial television. She has work on numerous national TV commercials with award winning directors. Including last years FedEx Carrier Pigeon Commercial, which placed in the Top 10 Super Bowl Commercials of 2008 and the White Gold MILK campaign. THE SUPER MAN is her debut as a Production Designer/Prop Master.

Vanessa Liguori

“Lola”

Vanessa Liguori grew up outside of Philadelphia. She attended Syracuse University and graduated with a BFA in drama. After graduation, she moved to New York City to begin pursuing a professional career. While in New York, Vanessa worked on shows such as Law and Order and The Sopranos. As a member of The Godlight Theatre Company, she enjoyed working on plays like The House of Yes, Escape from Happiness and The Third Man with The Super Man cast member, Gregory Konow. Since moving to Los Angeles four years ago, Vanessa has worked on several short films and commercials. She currently studies at the Stuart Rogers Studio and enjoys working on projects with people who share a great passion for art and its importance.

Micah Cohen

“Boxer”

A native of Oakland CA, Micah’s TV credits include C.S.I. and The Shield. He can also be seen as the lead in the award winning shorts Olivia and The Arrangement along with national comercials from Dominos, Nike, Verizon, Audi 5000 and Statefarm.
                

Adam Jason Finmann

Director, Season 1

a graduate of Emerson College, received his BA in Visual and Media Arts with a minor in photography. While attending Emerson, he immersed himself in film and was President of the schools film organization, Frames Per Second. Adam currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to direct various projects including the cinematic short “Silver Lining” which was acquired by IFC, as well as “Tom Hanks’ Green Machine” and T-Mobile’s “First Date” Commercial both airing on Current TV.

Six14 Productions

Justin and Bill Sloggatt formed Six14 Productions in 2002 intent on becoming one of Hollywood’s premier independent production companies. Clients include – Sprint, GMC, Maxim, FHM, MTV, VH1, Revolver, Men’s Health, Carl’s Jr., Spike TV, Access Hollywood, and HGTV. Six14 is a 3,500 sq.ft production facility equipped with multiple editing bays, production offices and a fully functional green screen cyclorama studio. Arita Trahan

“Mona”

is new to L.A. from Nashville. Her film credits include supporting roles in 21 Grams, Shattered, False Prophets, The Mojave Experiment, Blue Valley Songbird, and The Groundskeeper. She starred in The Soup Ladle, a finalist in the NowFilmFestival. Here television credits include supporting roles on America’s Most Wanted, America’s Dumbest Criminals, It’s a Miracle, and the title role in the BBC documentary The Real Mrs.Doubtfire.

Rebecca Sapp

Director of Photography

received her BA in Visual and Media Arts concentrating on cinematography with a minor in photography. Since moving to Los Angeles she has been working as a freelance photographer shooting portraits, events and editorial images. Rebecca was the cinematographer on the short film “Silver Lining” which was aquired by IFC, as well as T-Mobile’s “First Date” commercial airing on Current TV.
